(\u0645\u0631\u062d\u0628\u0627) Tonight we are inviting some friends over for dinner (\u0627\u0644\u0639\u0634\u0627\u0621). Like always our friends insist that we cook a Middle Eastern dish. Fortunately for us and them, we could not turn down their request and we have decided to serve chicken Shish Taouk for dinner tonight. Like us they love barbecuing chicken ( \u0627\u0644\u062f\u062c\u0627\u062c \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0634\u0648\u064a) and they have hinted a couple of times before that they have not had a decent, authentic and well prepared Shish Taouk (\u0634\u064a\u0634 \u0637\u0627\u0648\u0648\u0642) dish.\u00a0 In this post, I would like to share with you the recipe that my wife and I will use to prepare this tasty Middle Eastern dish.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"BEST CHICKEN RECIPE (Shish Tawook) !!! MUST SEE CHICKEN RECIPE!!!\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9j2RCLlrJFk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Like some of the other websites that I have used before, today I am borrowing this recipe from another good Mediterranean cooking website called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dedemed.com\/\">DedeMed Mediterranean Cooking<\/a>, the owner of the website Dede refers to it as \u2018Dede\u2019s Mediterranean Kitchen. I have also added a YouTube video from the same website that provides you with cooking instructions (\u062a\u0639\u0644\u064a\u0645\u0627\u062a \u0627\u0644\u0637\u0628\u062e) visually.<\/p>\n<p>I have borrowed a brief introduction of this dish from the same website:<\/p>\n<p><em>Shish Tawook (taouk) is a traditional Turkish shish kebab(<\/em><em>\u0634\u064a\u0634 \u0643\u0628\u0627\u0628<\/em><em>) which can also be found in Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. Cubes of chicken are skewered and grilled. Common marinades are based upon yogurt or a tomato puree, though there are many variations. Shish taouk is typically eaten with garlic paste toum (<\/em><em>\u062b\u0648\u0645<\/em><em>).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Total Time: 20 Minutes<\/p>\n<p>Prep Time: 10 Minutes<\/p>\n<p>Cook Time: 10 Minutes<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 boneless chicken breasts (\u0635\u062f\u0648\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u062f\u062c\u0627\u062c \u0627\u0644\u062e\u0627\u0644\u064a\u0629 \u0645\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0638\u0645)<\/li>\n<li>3 cloves minced garlic (\u0627\u0644\u062b\u0648\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0641\u0631\u0648\u0645)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tbs tomato paste<\/li>\n<li>2 tbs ketchup (\u0643\u0627\u062a\u0634\u0628\/ \u0627\u0644\u0637\u0645\u0627\u0637\u0645)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup yogurt<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup lemon juice (\u0639\u0635\u064a\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064a\u0645\u0648\u0646)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp salt (\u0645\u0644\u062d)<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp paprika (\u0641\u0644\u0641\u0644 \u0623\u062d\u0645\u0631)<\/li>\n<li>olive oil (\u0632\u064a\u062a \u0627\u0644\u0632\u064a\u062a\u0648\u0646) for cooking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cut (\u0642\u0637\u0639) chicken into 1\/2 inch cubes, add all other ingredients except olive oil. Cover and let marinate (\u0646\u0642\u0639) in refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Heat pan to med\/high heat, add 3 tbs olive oil then add chicken, cook uncovered for 5 minutes on each side or until moisture (\u0631\u0637\u0628) has evaporated and chicken is lightly browned.<\/p>\n<p>We are planning to serve this tasty sizzling dish with French fries, Lebanese\/Syrian bread, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/arabic\/how-to-prepare-tabbouleh\/\">tabbouleh<\/a> and a dish of homemade hummus.
