The other day I attended a concert where the band \u4e94\u6708\u5929 (wu3yue4tian1 – Mayday) was playing.\u00a0 They’re a group from \u53f0\u6e7e (tai2wan1 – Taiwan) who has been playing their form of \u6447\u6eda\u4e50 (yao2gun3yue4 – rock music) for over a decade.\u00a0 They make it very clear that they draw a lot of inspiration from the \u62ab\u5934\u56db\u00a0 (pi4tou2si4 – Beatles) and especially \u7ea6\u7ff0\u5217\u4fac (yue1han4 li4nong2 – John Lennon).\u00a0 His face was featured during some of the \u89c6\u9891 (shi4pin2 – videos) broadcast during the concert.\u00a0 Besides that, there was a large plastic \u7535\u4eba (dian4ren2 – robot) which looked like one of the \u53d8\u5f62\u91d1\u521a (bian4xing2jin1gang1 – Transformers) which shot \u6fc0\u5149 (ji4guang1 – lasers) all around the arena.\u00a0 Concertgoers waved their \u8367\u5149\u68d2 (ying2guang1bang4 – lightsticks) as the stadium filled with their \u638c\u58f0 (zhang3sheng1 – applause lit. palm sound).\u00a0 It was a show to remember, as all the tickets had already been \u5356\u5149\u4e86 (mai4guang1le) and there wasn’t an empty seat in the house.\u00a0 It was my first concert in the Greater China area, and I hope it won’t be the last!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
