We’ve been talking about Guizhou province<\/a> a lot on here recently, from the capital city of Guiyang<\/a> to the Qianling Park<\/a> outside of town. But there’s a lot more to Guizhou than the big city. A trip to this province wouldn’t be complete without taking in some of its natural beauty. Perhaps the best place for this is the Huangguoshu Waterfall<\/strong> (\u9ec4\u679c\u6811<\/span>\u7011\u5e03 – h<\/span>u\u00e1ng gu\u01d2 sh\u00f9 p\u00f9 b\u00f9).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Located 45 km away from the town of Anshun, Huangguoshu Waterfall claims to be the biggest in China. At 74 meters tall and 81 meters wide it is quite spectacular. It’s even possible to walk through a cave behind the massive fall. It is inside the Huangguoshu Waterfall National Park and there are other waterfalls for your viewing pleasure. An entrance ticket is 180RMB and there is a sight seeing bus for 50RMB to drive you through the area. For the more energetic type it is also possible to walk through. It’s never very crowded since almost everyone else is on the bus. Getting to Anshun is quite easy and possible by both train and plane. Living in Kunming it was very easy for us to take an overnight trip there as the train is only about 7 hours. It can also be done as a day trip from Guiyang, although staying a night in Anshun would allow you to visit the Dragon Palace Cave as well.
