Living in Shenzhen has placed me near Hong Kong, which puts me near innumerable \u8336\u9910\u5385<\/strong> (HK-style cafes).\u00a0 Besides serving one of my favorite dishes – \u86cb\u631e<\/strong> (egg tart, it should be one of your favorite dishes too) – there are also great \u725b\u8089\u7ca5<\/strong> (beef rice porridge) dishes.\u00a0 For drinks, you’re never at a loss, as you can enjoy some \u597d\u529b\u514b<\/strong> (Horlicks almond milk), \u6731\u53e4\u529b<\/strong> (Chocolate- usually Ovaltine with ice cubes), \u9e33\u9e2f<\/strong> (coffee and tea mixed together), or \u67e0\u4e50 (coke with lemon).\u00a0 For great treats, you can always get a good \u897f\u591a\u58eb<\/strong> (french toast HK style- warning for health-conscious individuals: sometimes it’s fried, others it’s topped with condensed milk) or better yet a \u83e0\u841d\u6cb9<\/strong> (pineapple bun with butter).\u00a0 Since \u8336\u9910\u5385<\/strong> are usually crowded, it makes sense to \u642d\u53f0<\/strong> (share a table) with other people.<\/p>\n
