It&#8217;s one of the &#8220;New 7 Wonders of the World,&#8221; although it&#8217;s been around for thousands of years. Stretching for over 20,000 km across China, it&#8217;s an awe-inspiring place that attracts millions of visitors every year. In fact, over 15 million people visited in 2014 alone! These thousands of figures were buried with Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China who unified the country. While it&#8217;s typically overrun with tourists, it&#8217;s not hard to find the quiet side of Dali. These \u201cearthen buildings\u201d were constructed as communal dwellings by the Hakka and Minnan people between the 12th and 20th centuries. Tai\u00a0<\/strong>(\u6cf0\u5c71 \u2013 t\u00e0i sh\u0101n) is considered to be the most sacred. If you can climb to the peak &#8211; 7,000+ stairs taking you to 1,545 meters above sea level &#8211; legend has it you&#8217;ll live to 100. While the country is definitely known for its massive cities, there are tons of amazing natural landmarks as well.
