There&#8217;s also that old saying that &#8220;Chinese people eat everything with four legs except the table.&#8221; So, what do people in China actually eat? We take a closer look at the 3 meals in China in this post. Common breakfast foods include\u00a0<strong>steamed stuffed buns<\/strong> (\u5305\u5b50<span class=\"s1\"> \u2013 b\u0101o zi) and<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><strong>porridge<\/strong> (<span class=\"s2\">\u7ca5<\/span> \u2013 zh\u014du). If you&#8217;ve only got a short break, typically lunch means leftovers from home or a trip to a local hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The trifecta of an easy Chinese lunch is definitely\u00a0<strong>noodles<\/strong> (<span class=\"s1\">\u9762<\/span> \u2013 mi\u00e0n), <strong>rice<\/strong> (\u7c73\u996d \u2013 m\u01d0 f\u00e0n), and\u00a0<strong>dumplings<\/strong> (<span class=\"s1\">\u997a\u5b50 \u2013 <\/span>ji\u01ceo zi). A Chinese <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/chinese\/real-chinese-food-dinner\/\">dinner<\/a>\u00a0tends to be a marathon eating session with multiple dishes, whether it&#8217;s taken in a restaurant or at home. Dinner is usually family style, with everyone gathered around the table sharing multiple dishes. Often you&#8217;ll start out with some <strong>cold dishes<\/strong>\u00a0(\u51c9\u83dc \u2013 li\u00e1ng c\u00e0i), and your <strong>soup<\/strong> (\u6c64 \u2013 t\u0101ng) usually comes last.
