With three full days, you can get a nice feel for the Spring City. After exploring the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/chinese\/72-hours-in-kunming-part-one\/\">Green Lake and Yuantong Temple<\/a> on day one and walking around <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/chinese\/72-hours-in-kunming-part-two\/\">Grand View Park plus the Bird and Flower Market<\/a> the next, our last day begins with an adventure. They&#8217;re also called \u201c<strong>Sleeping Beauty Hills<\/strong>\u201d (\u7761\u7f8e\u4eba\u5c71 \u2013 shu\u00ec m\u011bi r\u00e9n sh\u0101n) as they\u2019re said to resemble a beautiful girl laying beside the lake with her hair flowing into the water. Here you can hike &#8211; or take the lazy way and ride the bus and cable car &#8211; past several temples, pavilions, and the amazing\u00a0<strong>Dragon Gate<\/strong>\u00a0(\u9f99\u95e8 \u2013 l\u00f3ng m\u00e9n) grottoes. Start out at the\u00a0copper-tiled Taoist temple, which is one of the largest in Yunnan province. Since it&#8217;s already been a jam-packed couple of days, it&#8217;s time to chill out a bit. Even if you&#8217;re not staying there, you should head to the <strong>Hump Hostel<\/strong> (\u9a7c\u5cf0\u5ba2\u6808 &#8211; tu\u00f3 f\u0113ng k\u00e8 zh\u00e0n) downtown. They&#8217;ve got a bar where you can order up a coffee, tea, or cold beer. They&#8217;ve also got pool and ping pong tables. Their terrace is an awesome spot to sit for a while and relax. Since it&#8217;s your last night in Kunming, you might as well go with some classic Yunnan cuisine. One of the best restaurants in town is <strong>Yi Ke Yin<\/strong> (\u4e00\u9897\u5370 &#8211; y\u012b k\u0113 y\u00ecn), which is affectionately known as\u00a0<strong>Old House<\/strong> (\u8001\u623f\u5b50 &#8211; l\u01ceo f\u00e1ng zi). It really is set in a beautiful old house, and the food here is incredible. You&#8217;ll also find quite a few hot pot restaurants and noodle shops around here, or you could always just munch on some street food and local snacks.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Dynamic Yunnan<\/h2>\n<p>After feasting on local food, it&#8217;s time to enjoy an impressive performance at the <strong>Art Theater<\/strong> (\u827a\u672f\u5267\u9662 &#8211; y\u00ec sh\u00f9 j\u00f9 yu\u00e0n). The Dynamic Yunnan show goes on from Monday-Saturday at 8PM and is a must-see while you&#8217;re in town. The song and dance show highlights the culture of Yunnan&#8217;s many ethnic minority groups, including the famous peacock dance. Kunming has quite a good local music scene, from rock to reggae to hip-hop to electronic. One of the best places to take in a show is DT Bar, which is usually packed on the weekends. Grab a drink and dance to the music to wind down your adventure in Kunming.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you do decide to get a visa and spend more time in Yunnan, there are so many amazing experiences that await. Hit the road and visit places like the beautiful towns of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gratefulgypsies.com\/dali\/\">Dali<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gratefulgypsies.com\/old-town-of-lijiang\/\">Lijiang<\/a>.
