The song which had been written for another occasion and became one of the most popular during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Li Kaichou (\u674e\u51ef\u7a20<\/strong> L\u01d0 k\u01ceich\u00f3u) is a successful Chinese musician (\u97f3\u4e50\u4eba<\/strong> y\u012bn yu\u00e8 r\u00e9n). Working behind the scenes, he has composed and produced many popular songs (\u7ea2\u6b4c <\/strong>h\u00f3ng g\u0113) over the years. Last year he composed a new song, this time for his daughter, Li Xinrong (\u674e\u6615\u878d <\/strong>L\u01d0 X\u012bnr\u00f3ng). Although she is only 10 years old, Li Xinrong already has a distinguished musical career. With both parents as professional musicians, she has been learning piano since early childhood and has shown extraordinary musical talent (\u5929\u8d4b <\/strong>ti\u0101n f\u00f9).<\/p>\n

On June 2019, a couple of days before Father\u2019s Day (\u7236\u4eb2\u8282<\/strong> f\u00f9 q\u012bn ji\u00e9) celebration, the single \u300a\u542c\u6211\u8bf4\u8c22\u8c22\u4f60<\/strong>\u300b was released. Composed by Li Kaichou, and performed by Li Xinrong, the song Listen To Me Thanking You<\/em> received positive reviews. The sentimental melody (\u65cb\u5f8b<\/strong> xu\u00e1n l\u01dc), Li\u2019s sweet voice, and the touching lyrics (\u6b4c\u8bcd<\/strong> g\u0113 c\u00ed), made the song a special tribute to fathers-daughters, and really to any other relationship.<\/p>\n

Six months later the coronavirus broke out in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, and swept the world. The epicenter city was overwhelmed with hundreds of new cases each day. Over 42,000 medical workers from across the country were dispatched to aid Hubei. They were praised as \u6700\u7f8e\u7684\u9006\u884c\u8005<\/a> (zu\u00ec m\u011bi n\u00ec x\u00edng zh\u011b, heroes in harm\u2019s way<\/em>), for traveling to the frontline to fight the epidemic in a race against time, giving all they can to cure Wuhan.<\/p>\n

China was in awe, hailing the medical staff, who left their families behind, put themselves at risk and worked hard for China\u2019s health. The humble lyrics of the song which had been written for another occasion expressed Chinese gratitude (\u611f\u6069<\/strong> g\u01cen \u0113n), and the song became one of the most popular during the pandemic.<\/p>\n
