For us travelers, this <strong>global pandemic<\/strong> (\u5168\u7403\u5927\u6d41\u884c qu\u00e1n qi\u00fa d\u00e0 li\u00fa x\u00edng) really stinks. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m going to take you on a <strong>virtual tour of China<\/strong> (\u4e2d\u56fd\u865a\u62df\u4e4b\u65c5 zh\u014dng gu\u00f3 x\u016b n\u01d0 zh\u012b l\u01da). Hopefully this inspires you for future travels to the Middle Kingdom!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Beijing<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Beijing is the capital of China<\/strong> (\u5317\u4eac\u662f\u4e2d\u56fd\u7684\u9996\u90fd b\u011bi j\u012bng sh\u00ec zh\u014dng gu\u00f3 de sh\u01d2u d\u016b). Of course, we need to begin our virtual tour there! The hometown of <strong>Confucius<\/strong> (\u5b54\u5b50 k\u01d2ng z\u01d0) is located in Shandong province. Tai<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(\u6cf0\u5c71 t\u00e0i sh\u0101n), the most sacred of the <strong>Five Great Mountains<\/strong> (\u4e94\u5cb3 w\u01d4 yu\u00e8) in China. While it&#8217;s true that there are over 100 cities in China with more than a million people (seriously), the country also has some incredibly beautiful landscapes.<\/p>\n<p>One of my personal favorite places to enjoy the natural beauty of China is <strong>Guangxi<\/strong> (\u5e7f\u897f gu\u01ceng x\u012b). With a name meaning \u201cDragon\u2019s Backbone,\u201d the layered rice paddies are said to resemble a dragon\u2019s scales when they are full of water. If you ever make it there, I recommend moving quickly at the viewing areas to get out on the trails.
