The other day I went to a hospital for a \u4f53\u68c0<\/strong> (health inspection) which is part of the application process for a \u5c45\u7559\u8bc1<\/strong> (residence permit).\u00a0 The first step included going to the hospital and \u586b\u8868<\/strong> (filling in a form) regarding basic health information, and the bottom of the form has a part where you have to \u6253\u94a9<\/strong> (make a check mark) next to diseases you have or had in the past.\u00a0 Because I used to have \u54ee\u5598<\/strong> (asthma), I decided to indicate it for the reference of the doctors.\u00a0 After filling out the form, the receptionist typed my data into the computer, printed out a copy, and asked me to \u6838\u5bf9<\/strong> (check if the information was correct).\u00a0 Normally I don’t think that people would \u8f93\u9519 <\/strong>(input [data] incorrectly), but you have to check for even the smallest \u9519\u8bef <\/strong>(mistake\/accident) in these types of situations.\u00a0 Well, imagine my surprise when my checkbox for “asthma” was marked by the receptionist as \u809d\u708e<\/strong> (hepatitis)!\u00a0 Aside from being incorrect and having multiple medical consequences, hepatitis is one of the diseases that puts a person on the \u9ed1\u540d\u5355<\/strong> (black list), effectively crushing that person’s chances at a residence permit, much less another visa into the country!\u00a0 Always check your forms, readers!<\/p>\n
