Astronomically, we still have a few days before summer will officially arrive on June 20. But it certainly feels like summer is already here \u2013 \u590f\u5929\u6765\u4e86<\/strong> (xi\u00e0 ti\u0101n l\u00e1i le, summer is here<\/em>). The phrase \u590f\u5929<\/strong> (xi\u00e0 ti\u0101n) means summer<\/em>. It ends with the noun \u5929 (ti\u0101n), as all of the Chinse four seasons end:<\/p>\n

The winter has passed, the rain is over, people have taken off their coats one after the other. The warm spring has passed quickly, as well, and the hot summer has arrived. People put on thin summer clothes, some wear hats, some wear sunglasses, some even wear sandals.<\/em><\/p>\n
