The earliest documentation of fireworks dates back to 7th century China where they were first used to frighten away evil spirits with their loud sound (\u97ad\u70ae\/\u97ad\u7832\u00a0<em>bi\u0101n p\u00e0o<\/em>) and to pray for happiness and prosperity. For any big holiday in China, fireworks are <em>the<\/em> entertainment of the night&#8211;and China takes them very seriously. Just look at Dubai&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Burj_Khalifa\">Burj Khalifa building<\/a>, the tallest building in the world.
