While Cultural Revolution era propaganda can still be seen throughout the district, you will also stumble upon controversial works from Chinese artists such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gaobrothers.net\/\">Gao brothers<\/a>, whose art is anything but pro-Communist. With most of the galleries open and free to the public, 798 is a great place to take in modern Chinese culture without breaking the bank. Small shops and cafes abound, so you can easily spend an entire day there. While Steve has previously covered 798 in a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/chinese\/worth-a-thousand-words-798-art-district-beijing-%E4%B8%83%E4%B9%9D%E5%85%AB%E8%89%BA%E6%9C%AF%E5%8C%BA%E5%8C%97%E4%BA%AC\/\">written post<\/a>, I figured I might as well put the 2 hours+ of video footage I have from there to good use.
