Luckily for Chinese students, there&#8217;s another holiday coming up in just a few short weeks. As a matter of fact, this year there are TWO holidays back to back &#8211; <strong>Mid-Autumn Festival<\/strong> (\u4e2d\u79cb\u8282 &#8211; zh\u014dng qi\u016b ji\u00e9)\u00a0and <strong>National Holiday <\/strong>(\u56fd\u5e86\u8282 &#8211; gu\u00f3 q\u00ecng ji\u00e9). As such, many people in China are already planning a <strong>vacation<\/strong> (\u5047\u671f &#8211; ji\u00e0 q\u012b) for the holiday week. Some will return to hometowns to visit family, some will head for the sun and fun of places like <strong>Hainan\u00a0<\/strong>(\u6d77\u5357 &#8211; h\u01cei n\u00e1n)\u00a0and <strong>Xiamen\u00a0<\/strong>(\u53a6\u95e8 &#8211;\u00a0xi\u00e0 m\u00e9n), and others will get out of dodge and escape the madness of traveling in China during a big holiday by heading abroad. I fall into the latter category, as I&#8217;m planning a trip to <strong>Bali<\/strong> (\u5df4\u5398\u5c9b &#8211;\u00a0b\u0101 l\u00ed d\u01ceo) to visit a friend, relax on the beach, and do some hiking\/water sports.
