On TDY. Attending a SLTE. Out for parental leave.<\/p>\n<p>Until now, those very good reasons looked very bad in your reports. Even if you changed a linguist\u2019s goal to \u201cNo Goal\u201d during those legitimate absences. Retroactively in reports, it looked like they just didn\u2019t meet their goal. No bueno.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now you can set goal exemptions!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Exemptions will make sure your data is accurate in real time and long-term reports.<\/p>\n<h2>Track exemptions in real time<\/h2>\n<p>You can set up goal exemptions in your <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/2020\/02\/20\/cl-150-platform-reporting-groups-just-got-a-lot-better\/\">Reporting Groups<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the Users tab, find the linguist who should be exempt.<\/li>\n<li>In the Actions column, click the three dots icon to open a menu of actions.<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cSet Goal Exemption\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Set the dates during which they should be exempt and click Save.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1249\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/Setting-Goal-Exemption-1024x534.png\" alt=\"cl-150 setting a goal exemption for linguists\" width=\"592\" height=\"309\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/Setting-Goal-Exemption-1024x534.png 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/Setting-Goal-Exemption-350x183.png 350w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/Setting-Goal-Exemption-768x401.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/Setting-Goal-Exemption-1536x802.png 1536w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/Setting-Goal-Exemption-2048x1069.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 592px) 100vw, 592px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A couple important things to know when setting dates:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u26a0\ufe0f Exemptions must align to a weekly or monthly reporting period, so they must begin on a Sunday and end on a Saturday.)<br \/>\n\u26a0\ufe0f You can cancel or reschedule an exemption <em>before<\/em> it starts, but it cannot be cancelled once it\u2019s in effect.<\/p>\n<p>During the date range you selected, that linguist will appear exempt throughout the admin portal. You\u2019ll see an \u201cExempt\u201d wedge in your <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/2021\/03\/11\/new-for-program-managers-reporting-group-overview-pie-charts\/\">pie charts<\/a>, so those linguists are accounted for but don\u2019t interfere with your data about goal compliance.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1252\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/goal-exemption-pie-chart-1024x677.png\" alt=\"cl-150 goal exemption in reporting group dashboard pie chart\" width=\"577\" height=\"381\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/goal-exemption-pie-chart-1024x677.png 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/goal-exemption-pie-chart-350x231.png 350w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/goal-exemption-pie-chart-768x508.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2024\/08\/goal-exemption-pie-chart.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 577px) 100vw, 577px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The exemption will expire automatically at the end of the selected date range.<\/p>\n<h2>See exemptions in reports<\/h2>\n<p>Exemptions carry over into the Goal Compliance Report, so linguists are properly categorized retroactively when running longer term reports.<\/p>\n<p>In the Goal Compliance Report, you\u2019ll see two crucial updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A new column titled \u201cExempt\u201d: It\u2019s now immediately obvious who is exempt, rather than distorting your numbers by lumping them in to \u201cNot Completed.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Exemption status: In the user-by-user section at the bottom of the report, you\u2019ll also see \u201cExempt\u201d as a possible status in the weekly breakdowns, rather than \u201cNot Completed\u201d.
