A transcription activity is coming to CL-150 Cohort lessons\u2014and it\u2019s already available for your custom lessons in Lesson Authoring!<\/em><\/p>\n

Listening is a deceptively complicated language skill, and nothing highlights that quite as clearly as simply trying to accurately write down what you\u2019ve just heard, a skill known as transcription.<\/p>\n

To target higher level listening skills, we\u2019ve added a new learning activity to the CL-150 Platform: Transcribe It.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"CL-150<\/p>\n

The new Transcribe It <\/em>activity asks learners to listen to a chunk of the lesson text and type what they hear. They can rewind, fast forward, and replay the audio as needed. When finished, they submit their answer and receive immediate feedback. After reviewing any discrepancies, the learner can dismiss the error display, and return to the text for further editing, until the transcription is fully accurate.<\/p>\n

We will begin adding the Transcribe It<\/em> activity to the <\/strong>CL-150 Cohort weekly lesson streams<\/strong><\/a> starting in May, but it is already available to you in the CL-150 Lesson Authoring tool.<\/strong> If you are authoring custom CL-150 Lessons, you can begin including Transcribe It<\/em> right now!<\/p>\n
