{"id":984,"date":"2021-12-07T19:47:19","date_gmt":"2021-12-07T19:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/?p=984"},"modified":"2021-12-07T19:47:19","modified_gmt":"2021-12-07T19:47:19","slug":"introducing-cl-150-cohort-weekly-lessons-in-french-ilr-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/2021\/12\/07\/introducing-cl-150-cohort-weekly-lessons-in-french-ilr-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing CL-150 Cohort Weekly Lessons in French ILR 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>French learners, say bonjour to the new ILR 2 French <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/381700698\">CL-150 Cohort weekly lesson stream<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting December 6<sup>th<\/sup>, a new ILR 2 French lesson will be published every week, based on authentic sources from the French-speaking world<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-986\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/cl-150-bulletin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2021\/12\/French-ILR-2-Cohort-GIF.gif\" alt=\"CL-150 Cohort French\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What\u2019s new other than the language?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The French Cohort lessons have all the things you love most about Cohorts: authentic sources, professionally relevant topics, level-appropriate comprehension questions, key vocabulary, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Based on feedback from the sustainment community, we\u2019ve also upgraded the original lesson design, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reading and listening lessons<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">To provide equal focus on the two modalities you need most, half of the French lessons will be listening lessons focused on authentic audio sources and half will be reading lessons focused on authentic texts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Flexible learning activities<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Survey feedback said you want to switch things up a bit each week, and we do too. Based on survey feedback, the lessons have been shortened from 16 to 12 activities to make the most of that time.
