From the depths of a Danish cinema.<\/p><\/div>\n

At v\u00e6re f\u00f8dt i november\/har lagt en d\u00e6mper\/p\u00e5 mit liv<\/b>. (Being born in November\/has put a damper\/on my life.) The words come from a well-known song by Danish songwriter and poet Benny Andersen. True, November isn\u2019t exactly the funniest month to be in Denmark! Det er v\u00e5dt og koldt.<\/b> (It\u2019s wet and cold.) And, as Denmark is so flat, there\u2019s often a lot of bl\u00e6st<\/b> (wind) coming in from the sea. Heldigvis<\/b> [HELdeevees] (fortunately), there\u2019s always a way to escape:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Nej, hvad hedder den?<\/b> No, what\u2019s it called?<\/p>\n

\u2022 Hvad er din yndlingsfilm?<\/b> [UNleengsfilm] What\u2019s your favourite movie?<\/p>\n

\u2022 Hvem er din yndligsskuespiller? <\/b>[UNleengsskoo-eh-spellor] Who\u2019s your favourite actor\/actress?<\/p>\n

\u2022 Jeg er mest til danske film\/amerikanske film\/komedier\/t\u00f8sefilm\/drenger\u00f8vsfilm<\/b>. I like Danish movies\/American movies\/comedies\/girls\u2019 films\/guys\u2019 films better. (Drenger\u00f8v<\/b> literally means \u201dboy\u2019s @rse\u201d, it\u2019s a word used to describe men who \u201drefuse to grow up\u201d \u2013 as women see it! A film with a fair amount of car racing, explosions and seminude females could be considered belonging to this category!)<\/p>\n
