It\u2019s called <b>Passageren<\/b> [passaSHARE-unh] (The Passenger) or <b>Bussen 2<\/b> [boosn TOH] (The Bus 2), as it\u2019s the sequel to the 2012 hit commercial <b>Bussen<\/b>. In case you haven\u2019t seen it yet, <b>slap af<\/b> (relax) and take a look:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ny8r_qGb9io&#038;spfreload=10<\/p>\n<p><em><b>A little bit about the cultural background for this film<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>Danmark<\/b> is often associated with <a title=\"Land of Bicycles\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/2011\/07\/18\/land-of-bicycles\/\"><b>cykler<\/b><\/a> (bicycles). In the new millennium, however, <b>privatbilisme<\/b> (\u201dprivate motoring\u201d) has become a problem. The country is \u201d<b>fladt som en pandekage<\/b>\u201d (flat as a pancake), as the saying goes, and it\u2019s very easy to roll out new <b>veje<\/b> (roads) and <b>motorveje<\/b> (motorways, freeways). This would be a country with less <b>forurening<\/b> (pollution), and maybe more strangers would talk to each other and become <b>venner<\/b>\u00a0(friends) \u2013 as you can see in the film! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><b>\u201dPassageren\u201d <\/b>was made by Midttrafik (\u201dMiddle Traffic\u201d), the main <b>bus<\/b> [booss] (bus) company in Midtjylland (Central Jutland). Their aim, of course, is to make more people take their <b>busser<\/b> to places like <b>Lystrup<\/b> \u2013 a suburb to <b>\u00c5rhus\/Aarhus<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The film also jokes about the feeling many Danes have of being <b>kedelig<\/b> (dull or trivial), living lives that are just as organized and \u201ddry\u201d as the stereotypcial <b>madpakke<\/b> (packed lunch) of <b>rugbr\u00f8d med spegep\u00f8lse <\/b>(rye bread with salami).
