Sometimes, though, you might prefer <b>papiraviser<\/b> (\u201dpaper newspapers\u201d) instead of <b>netaviser<\/b> (online newspapers)\u2026 It might for example be a little bit difficult to fold your computer into an <b>avisb\u00e5d<\/b> (newspaper boat)!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">If you\u2019re in Denmark, you can generally buy <b>aviser<\/b> in <b>kiosker<\/b> (kiosks) and <b>supermarkeder. <\/b>Go check if you understand <b>overskrifterne<\/b> (the headlines)! \ud83d\ude42 The easiest headlines for language learners usually are in <b>tabloidaviserne<\/b> (the tabloids), which also have a lot of <b>fotos<\/b> to help you understand the context. If that\u2019s not your thing, buy a more \u201dserious\u201d newspaper and jump straight to <b>tegneserierne<\/b> (the comics) or the <b>sudoku<\/b> when it gets too difficult! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Danske aviser<\/b> are either <b>lokal<\/b> [lohKAL] or <b>landsd\u00e6kkende <\/b>(countrywide). Also, they very often are linked to a specific kind of <b>politik<\/b> (politics) \u2013 some are a bit more right-wing or \u201dliberal\u201d and some are a bit more left-wing or \u201dsocialist\u201d (it\u2019s hard to translate directly as the parties in Denmark don\u2019t match those in the US, for example). The differences are not that huge, though, and I doubt it will bother you when you try to spell your way through simple articles! \ud83d\ude42 Here are some of the most common newspapers to check out:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 <b>Ekstrabladet<\/b> is an easy-to-read tabloid<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 <b>BT<\/b> is another popular tabloid<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 <b>Politiken<\/b> is one of the biggest newspapers (maybe a little bit to the \u201dleft\u201d)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 <b>Berlingske <\/b>is another \u201dbiggie\u201d (a bit more to the \u201dright\u201d)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 <b>Jyllands-Posten<\/b> got famous because of the Muhammad Cartoon Crisis (but it\u2019s a fairly normal Danish newspaper, maybe little bit to the <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201dright\u201d)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 <b>Information<\/b> is a bit different in style (and maybe a bit to the \u201dleft\u201d)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 <b>Weekendavisen<\/b> is a really long newspaper with looong articles \u2013 and a kids section which might be a bit easier! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u2022 <b>metroxpress <\/b>is a <b>gratisavis<\/b> (free newspaper) with easy stuff to read \u2013 and a lot of <b>reklamer <\/b>(ads)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Some of the things you find in Danish newspapers are <b>nyheder<\/b> (news), <b>l\u00e6serbreve<\/b> (letters from readers) and <b>anmeldelser af film og b\u00f8ger<\/b> (reviews of films and books).
