Legs and feet make it possible <strong>at g\u00e5, at l\u00f8be, at hoppe, at sparke<\/strong> (to walk, to run, to jump, to kick). Some special varieties include:<br \/>\n<strong>De er nede at vandre i Alperne<\/strong> (They\u2019re \u201ddown\u201d walking in the Alps)<br \/>\n<strong>Pigerne hinkede i frikvarteret<\/strong> (The girls were hopping on one foot in the school break)<br \/>\n<strong>Han snublede p\u00e5 vej ind i lokalet<\/strong> (He stumbled on hus way into the room)<br \/>\n<strong>De listede sig af sted igennem skoven<\/strong> (They were stealing\/tiptoeing through the forest)<br \/>\n<strong>Slingrer ned ad Vestergade<\/strong> (Reeling down Vestergade Street \u2013 classical <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=1&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjn6evau_nkAhXN66QKHZ02CIQQyCkwAHoECAkQBg&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D6UQz2ZYj3QQ&amp;usg=AOvVaw2TqxP6vsjUImSypRRdQywm\">song<\/a> by the Danish band Gnags)<\/p>\n<p>Arms and hands further enable us <strong>at gribe, at l\u00f8fte, at b\u00e6re, at klatre, at sv\u00f8mme, at omfavne nogen<\/strong> (to catch, to lift, to carry, to climb, to swim, to embrace somebody):<br \/>\n<strong>Drengen aede marsvinet<\/strong> (The boy patted\/stroke the guinea pig)<br \/>\n<strong>Dronningen vinker fra skibet<\/strong> (The Queen is waving from the ship)<br \/>\n<strong>Hun famlede i m\u00f8rket<\/strong> (She was groping in the dark)<br \/>\n<strong>De knipsede til musikken<\/strong> (They were snapping their fingers to the music)<br \/>\n<strong>Publikum klapper <\/strong>(The audience applauds)<\/p>\n<p>Of course there are countless other ways to move, but for <strong>bev\u00e6gelser<\/strong> (movements) excluding our legs\/feet and arms\/hands, the vocabulary is more limited. We may <strong>tr\u00e6kke p\u00e5 skuldrene<\/strong> (shrug our shoulders), <strong>nikke<\/strong> (nod), <strong>ryste p\u00e5 hovedet<\/strong> (shake our head), <strong>rynke panden<\/strong> (knit our brows), <strong>tr\u00e6kke vejret<\/strong> (breathe), <strong>skyde ryg som en kat<\/strong> (arch our backs like a cat), <strong>vrikke med hofterne<\/strong> (wiggle our hips) and <strong>lukke \u00f8jnene<\/strong> (close our eyes).
