Delineate a number of strips between the bottom of the arch and the fold. A small number, like 3 or 4 strips, is preferable.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>5<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230030.jpg\" aria-label=\"PC230030 300x224\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-289\"  alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230030-300x224.jpg\"><\/a>Put the second sheet into the sheet you drew on. Take care so that the two folds always touch. (If not, the shape from the second sheet will diverge too much and ruin your work!)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>7<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230032.jpg\" aria-label=\"PC230032 300x224\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-291\"  alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230032-300x224.jpg\"><\/a>Use your scissors to separate the strips from each other. It is a good idea to extend the cuts 1.5 mm into the arch area. That will give you more room for braiding.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>8<\/h2>\n<p>Turn the coloured side out again.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-292\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230033-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>9<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230034.jpg\" aria-label=\"PC230034 300x224\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-293\"  alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230034-300x224.jpg\"><\/a>Braid the heart:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Take the uppermost red strip.<\/li>\n<li>Push it through the first white strip.<\/li>\n<li>Pull the second white strip through the red strip.<\/li>\n<li>Push the red strip through the third white strip.<\/li>\n<li>Pull the fourth white strip through the red strip.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the whole red strip is pulled as \u201dfar North\u201d as possible (in the direction of the arch).<\/li>\n<li>Continue with the second red strip, but this time it should start surrounding the white strip.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div>In short: repeat the pattern \u201dred through white, white through red\u201d until the heart is finished. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Remember to check that the heart looks the same on both sides!<\/span><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230036.jpg\" aria-label=\"PC230036 300x224\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-294\"  alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/danish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2011\/12\/PC230036-300x224.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div>The last strip can be difficult, and you may have to \u201dwrinkle\u201d the other strips a bit in order to make space for it.
