Sarah\u2019s determined to decipher yet another riddle in her long and successful career as an <strong>efterforsker<\/strong> (investigator) \u2013 though she\u2019d rather be at a special reception for officers <strong>i lang og tro tjeneste\u00a0<\/strong>(\u201din long an faithful service\u201d)\u2026<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, <strong>forvirring<\/strong> (confusion) and intrigues are making it hard to be a Danish <strong>politiker<\/strong> (politician). <strong>Statsministeren<\/strong> (the PM) is busy having an affair with a leader of the opposition, while his government are fighting to prevent the powerful shipping company Zeeland from outsorcing hundreds of industrial jobs. Zeeland\u2019s inheritor and <strong>ejer<\/strong> (owner) Robert takes part in hyper-serious meetings with men with black <strong>slips<\/strong> (tie\/s, singular and plural is the same) \u2013 while his mind is glooming about his problems with his ex, and their daughter Emilie, who has started to behave in strange ways\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday marked the beginning of the third and last season of <em><strong>Forbrydelsen<\/strong><\/em> (\u201dThe Crime\u201d) \u2013 one of the most popular Danish <strong>tv-serie\/r<\/strong> (serial\/s) in recent years. Over the next Sundays huge parts of the Danish population will be glued to their screens \u2013 as will many people in other countries.<\/p>\n<p><em>Forbrydelsen<\/em> has become an international hit. Spectators in Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom \u2013 among others \u2013 have fallen in love with the frail-but-strong Sarah Lund (played by Sofie Gr\u00e5b\u00f8l) in her trademark <strong>sweater<\/strong> [SVETor] (jersey, sweater). In fact, the serial, known as <em>The Killing <\/em>in Britain, has become so popular among the British that when the English Prince Charles and his wife Camilla visited Denmark this March, one of the important things on Camilla\u2019s to-do list was \u2026 meeting Sofie Gr\u00e5b\u00f8l and the other actors at the set of <em>Forbrydelsen<\/em>! Ms Gr\u00e5b\u00f8l knew just which gift to present to the Duchess of Cornwall: a <a href=\"http:\/\/nyhederne.tv2.dk\/article.php\/id-49233240:gr\u00e5b\u00f8l-gav-camilla-en-sweater.html\">sweater<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Forbrydelsen<\/em> is an exciting piece of entertainment. It\u2019s also interesting to watch as a parody of the jet set part of urban Denmark.
