{"id":1288,"date":"2011-03-29T18:07:20","date_gmt":"2011-03-29T18:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/?p=1288"},"modified":"2011-11-15T11:36:33","modified_gmt":"2011-11-15T11:36:33","slug":"adverbs-of-time-and-order-of-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/adverbs-of-time-and-order-of-events\/","title":{"rendered":"Adverbs of Time and Order of Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I wrote about <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/dutch-prepositions-of-time\/\" target=\"_blank\">prepositions related to time<\/a>.\u00a0 Sticking with the theme of time, this week we will look at some adverbs related to time and the words you might use when talking about order of events.\u00a0 For both, I will begin by sharing some useful vocabulary words with you, followed by an example utilizing the words plus any usage notes you might need and finally the example\u2019s English translation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Vocabulary List<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>altijd<\/em> (always)<\/li>\n<li><em>meestal<\/em> (most of the time\/usually)<\/li>\n<li><em>vaak<\/em> (often)<\/li>\n<li><em>regelmatig<\/em> (regularly)<\/li>\n<li><em>soms<\/em> (sometimes)<\/li>\n<li><em>zelden<\/em> (seldom)<\/li>\n<li><em>nooit<\/em> (never)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Op zaterdag morgen gaan we <strong>altijd<\/strong> naar de groentenboer.\u00a0 <strong>Meestal<\/strong> gaan we ook naar de bakerij en <strong>vaak<\/strong> gaan we naar de slagerij.\u00a0 Wij gaan <strong>regelmatig<\/strong> naar de supermarket.\u00a0 <strong>Soms<\/strong> gaan we naar de Hema, <strong>zelden<\/strong> naar de Gall &amp; Gall en <strong>nooit<\/strong> naar het reisbureau.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Translation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday morning we always go to the vegetable farmer.\u00a0 Most of the time we also go to the bakery and we often go to the butcher.\u00a0 We go regularly to the supermarket.\u00a0 Sometimes we go to the Hema, seldom to the Gall &amp;
