However, these past two weeks have been rainy, very windy, cold\u2026 Nothing you would expect from a great summer!<\/p>\n<p>So while we are reviving the cold winter months with blankets and hot chocolates, why also not some cozy Dutch? Let&#8217;s start off with the first Triple L! (<strong>L<\/strong>anguage\u00a0<strong>L<\/strong>istening\u00a0<strong>L<\/strong>esson)<\/p>\n<p>The following story is for you! With recording.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2014\/05\/Het-Verhaal-van-Mark.mp3\">Het Verhaal van Mark<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Mark is 17 jaar oud en woont in Assen, de hoofdstad van de provincie Drenthe<\/em>. <em>Hij zit op het gymnasium in het examenjaar. Hij heeft nu eindexamens.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>De afgelopen dagen heeft het hard geregend en zelfs gehageld. En dan al die examens! Mark heeft er genoeg van. Hij wil eindelijk op vakantie. In de zomervakantie gaat Mark met een paar vrienden naar Lloret Del Mar in Spanje om goed bij te komen van al dat leren. Daar heeft hij al heel veel zin in! <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Helaas kan hij nog niet weg. Eerst nog die examens maken! Maandag heeft Mark het examen geschiedenis. Dat wordt nog leren, leren, leren! Op dinsdag natuurlijk nog wiskunde. Hij heeft er een ontzettende hekel aan, maar het moet maar. Vrijdag is het laatste examen, latijn. En dan eindelijk vakantie!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU SCROLL TO THE TRANSLATION!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. What does Mark want to do after his exams?<\/p>\n<p>2. You can also send a private message to me if you would like that more. <em>Veel succes!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The approximate translation:<\/p>\n<p>Mark is 17 years old and lives in Assen, the capital of the province Drenthe. He attends the <em>gymnasium<\/em> (the most advanced level of the Dutch school system) and is in his senior year. He has final exams right now.<\/p>\n<p>The last days it has rained hard and even hailed. Mark had enough of it. He finally wants to go on holiday. In the summer holidays, Mark is going to visit Lloret Del Mar in Spain with a few friends to recover from al the studying. He is really looking forward to that!<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, he cannot leave yet. Those exams come first! Monday, Mark has the History exam. That is going to be studying, studying, studying! On Tuesday he will have Math of course. He absolutely detests it, but he has no choice. Then on Friday is the last exam, Latin.
