It depends &#8211; if you just want to say the capital letter G, it sounds like this:<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-3595-3\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/10\/G-Rec-File-MP3.mp3?_=3\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/10\/G-Rec-File-MP3.mp3\">https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/10\/G-Rec-File-MP3.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>It\u00a0is pretty much the same sound you would get if you gurgle without water, or the sound you make just before you spit. Just the gross things you could do with your throat, really, that is what is the right kind of sound of the\u00a0<em>g<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You have to open your mouth well, and <strong>forget about your vocal chords<\/strong>. They don&#8217;t have any job in the pronunciation of the\u00a0<em>g<\/em>!<\/p>\n<p>So you are left with this sound &#8211; and that is what you want. Now add the other letters of the word, and you are fine.<\/p>\n<p>As for the\u00a0<em>ch<\/em>,\u00a0<em>sch<\/em>, and when there is an\u00a0<em>r\u00a0<\/em>right after it, as in for example\u00a0<em>schik\u00a0<\/em>(fun) or\u00a0<em>schrik<\/em>\u00a0(scare), they basically have the same sound, just a little &#8220;lighter&#8221;.
