Today, we continue with the 9 Straatjes and the P.C. Hooftstraat! Since the 90s, an essential part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/sarahs-top-10-must-see-in-amsterdam\/\">Amsterdam <\/a>shopping experience. The &#8220;9 little\u00a0streets&#8221;, as\u00a0<em>9 straatjes\u00a0<\/em>translates, house smaller, special shops, which complement the more mainstream, bigger brands you can find for example in the\u00a0<em>Kalverstraat<\/em>.\u00a0This shopping area has become so important already to rival the more famous ones. Located parallel to the\u00a0<em>Leidsestraat<\/em>, the\u00a0<em>9 straatjes\u00a0<\/em>are located very centrally, and are a secret tip on just a few minutes walking from both the\u00a0<em>Kalverstraat\u00a0<\/em>and the\u00a0<em>Leidsestraat<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>straatjes\u00a0<\/em>connect the prestigious <em>Prinsen-, Keizer-, <\/em>and<em> Herengracht<\/em> and the <em>Singel<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What can I buy here?<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3814\" style=\"width: 292px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright post-item__attachment\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/12\/Screenshot-6.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3814\" aria-label=\"Screenshot 6 300x267\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3814\" class=\"wp-image-3814 \"  alt=\"9 Straatjes\" width=\"282\" height=\"251\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/dutch\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/12\/Screenshot-6-300x267.png\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3814\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Green: the Leidsestraat. The website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.de9straatjes.amsterdam\/en\/winkels\/branch\">lists all\u00a0shops<\/a>. The list includes shops like\u00a0<em>Vans\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Timberland<\/em>, but also many less-known ones like\u00a0<em>NicNic\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0<em>Van Ravenstein<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By the way&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nobody thought that\u00a0<em>De 9 Straatjes\u00a0<\/em>was a good name for the shopping area, but Djoeke Wessing, who had the idea, insisted on the name. It has become more memorable and iconic now that it has established itself.<\/li>\n<li>There is an unofficial\u00a0<em>tiende straatje\u00a0<\/em>(tenth street), the\u00a0<em>Hazenstraat<\/em>. Much like the\u00a0<em>9 straatjes<\/em>, many small shops and restaurants are located here.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dutchamsterdam.nl\/2160-amsterdams-pc-hooftstraat-worlds-third-best-shopping-street\"><strong>The\u00a0<em>P.C. Hooftstraat<\/em>. It is expensive, yes, but it is also rated the world&#8217;s third nicest shopping street!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What can I buy here?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From\u00a0<em>Herm\u00e8s<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Louis Vitton\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Chanel<\/em> to\u00a0<em>Cartier\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Tiffany&#8217;s &amp; Co.,\u00a0<\/em>if a shop makes you think &#8220;fancy&#8221;, it is most likely\u00a0located at the <em>P.C.
