Two weeks ago, we discussed grammatical terms that are\u00a0related to nouns<\/a>, such as the\u00a0onderwerp<\/em>,\u00a0lijdend\u00a0<\/em>voorwerp<\/em>,\u00a0meewerkend voorwerp<\/em>, and others. Last week, we discussed terms that are related to verbs<\/a>, such as the\u00a0werkwoord, gezegde, naamwoordelijk deel van het gezegde,\u00a0<\/em>and others.<\/p>\n

This week, you will have the chance to see whether you got it right! The results of the test will be published next week on our Facebook \"Messenger<\/a>page. If you have questions about an exercise, you can contact us! Obviously, we will not just give you the answer \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

So, how does it work? You will be given a Dutch sentence, and it is your job to\u00a0ontleed\u00a0<\/em>(dissect) the sentence. So call every element by its right term!<\/p>\n

Example: Op de markt geeft\u00a0<\/em>Max\u00a0een\u00a0bedorven appel aan Tim.<\/em><\/p>\n

persoonsvorm\u00a0<\/em>– geeft<\/p>\n

onderwerp\u00a0<\/em>– Max<\/p>\n

lijdend voorwerp<\/em> – een\u00a0bedorven appel<\/p>\n

bijvoeglijk naamwoord\u00a0<\/em>– bedorven<\/p>\n

meewerkend voorwerp\u00a0<\/em>– Tim<\/p>\n

bepaling\u00a0<\/em>–\u00a0op de markt<\/p>\n

gezegde\u00a0<\/em>– Max geeft aan<\/p>\n

As you can see, some are overlapping. First, you have to find\u00a0the\u00a0persoonsvorm<\/em> (see the post how to do it!). Then, you can find out the\u00a0onderwerp<\/em>. This can already form the gezegde, but first look at the other nouns:\u00a0lijdend voorwerp<\/em>,\u00a0meewerkend voorwerp<\/em>, and other\u00a0bepalingen. <\/em>You can specify what kind of bepaling it is (tijd, plaats, <\/em>etc.), but you don’t have to.<\/p>\n

If a word has an\u00a0bijvoeglijk naamwoord\u00a0<\/em>or a\u00a0bijwoord<\/em>, you can put it underneath the word that it is related to after an indent (as done in the example with\u00a0bedorven<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Even though the first two posts had example sentences in English, these will be in Dutch. Try to translate them, and put the translation underneath your\u00a0ontleding\u00a0<\/em>(dissection). The translations of all sentences will be at the end of this post, because the main point is the\u00a0ontleding<\/em>, not\u00a0vertaling\u00a0<\/em>(translation).<\/p>\n
