Fall has begun and we are enjoying some unusual sunny days in the Netherlands! Temperatures are expected to reach 19 degrees Celsius (67 degrees Fahrenheit) this weekend which means lots of terrace time!<\/p>\n

In light of this lovely weather, I have chosen a song in Dutch by Andr\u00e9 van Duin that made it back to the top songs in the Netherlands thanks to a remake he recorded with Van Huys Uit titled Als de Zon Schijnt.<\/em><\/p>\n

The song is a cover from the movie “Buona Sera Mrs Campbell” for which Van Duin wrote new text for in 1983. After a remake in 2009, the grocery store Jumbo used it for its commercials and in 2017, it made it to the top 100 list.<\/p>\n

Als de Zon Schijnt<\/em>\u00a0is really what you would expect: a song about how wonderful life is with the sun! The song goes as follows:<\/p>\n
