Today I thought I would introduce you to a number of new ways to say \u2018hot\u2019 in English. This way you will have many more words to choose from the next time some asks you, \u201cWhat is the weather like outside?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here are some synonyms for the word \u2018<strong>hot<\/strong>\u2019 when talking about the weather:<\/p>\n<p><strong>sultry<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>sweltering<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>balmy<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>blazing hot<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>blistering<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>boiling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Examples:<br \/>\nIt is <strong>sultry<\/strong> outside today.<br \/>\nIs another <strong>sweltering<\/strong> day.<br \/>\nThe weather is simply <strong>balmy<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt is <strong>blazing hot<\/strong> again today.<br \/>\nThe heat is <strong>blistering<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt is <strong>boiling<\/strong> outside.<\/p>\n<p>Now, here are some expressions people also use to talk about the weather being hot:<\/p>\n<p><strong>hot as hades <\/strong><em>or<\/em><strong> hot as hell<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>hotter than blazes<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>it\u2019s a scorcher<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>it\u2019s so hot you could fry and egg on the sidewalk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Examples:<br \/>\nIt is <strong>hot as hades<\/strong> out today.<br \/>\nOn our vacation to the Caribbean it was <strong>hotter than blazes<\/strong> everyday so we never left the poolside.<br \/>\n<strong>It is another scorcher<\/strong> folks, be sure to put on your sunscreen.<br \/>\n<strong>It is so hot <\/strong>today<strong> you could fry an egg on the sidewalk!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are feeling like complaining about the heat this summer, you might want to try out some of these fun ways to say \u2018<strong>hot<\/strong>\u2019 or \u2018<strong>it\u2019s hot<\/strong>\u2019 and show off your new English vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p>What do you like to do on a hot day?
