Our trip begins at Centennial Park. There are soccer fields and play areas for kids. Take a stroll around the lake and enjoy this beautiful green space in the city. You’ll see some interesting things on your walk, like a jet and an old steam engine. You’ll also see this replica of the Parthenon from Ancient Greece, leading some to call Nashville the Athens of the South.

On a weekend, you might find special events going on. A farmer’s market, live music, local businesses and non-profit organizations coming together on a Saturday afternoon.

There’s lots of things to do in Nashville on the weekend. We’re at the Flying Saucer which is a bar, and today they’re having a beer festival. This place is known as a draught emporium, and for good reason. They’ve got over 200 beers on tap here, so choose wisely. As the sign says, they’ve been serving good beer to good people since 1995. To go with your beer, get one of their epic saucer bratzels and a delicious salmon sandwich. Then head outside and join the party.

You’re in Nashville, so you’ve got to try hot chicken. Head to Hattie B’s, where there’s always a line, and put in your order.

We’re at Broadway Brewhouse in Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee, and this is the Busch Whacker. I don’t really know all the details, but it’s basically like a Frosty with a bunch of booze and chocolate syrup.

Mmm.. now that hot chicken will taste real good.

If you’re in town on a Sunday in the fall, go check out the local football team if they’re playing at home. The Tennessee Titan fans sure know how to throw a tailgate party. It’s worth it to come here for this alone! Enjoy the great view of downtown from the stadium, and find your seats before kickoff.”

Nashville is the capital of Tennessee, and it’s also known as Music City.
