And there is no denying that this grammar topic can be highly confusing even to the most advanced learners. And in some cases we might come across that word that we didn&#8217;t even know was a preposition to begin with. After all, there are over 150 of them in the English language!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Worry not, we&#8217;re not going over all of them today! Either way, it is about time we move beyond the classic<b>\u00a0IN &#8211; ON &#8211; AT<\/b> trio and get to the equally important\u00a0<b><i>prepositions of movement.\u00a0<\/i><\/b>To put it simply, these prepositions indicate the action of going from one place to another, pointing towards a direction. They are often paired with\u00a0<i>verbs of motion.\u00a0<\/i>Using these specific prepositions will not only boost your vocabulary but will also help you express yourself more clearly.\u00a0So how about we get\u00a0<i>around<\/i>\u00a0to it, shall we?<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><b>ACROSS<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">from one side to the opposite side of something<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There\u2019s a bridge further down, but you can also take a boat <\/span><b>across<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> the river,
