Introducing “Senpage” \/ Prezentado de “Senpage”<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Hello everyone.<\/p>\n

My blogger name is “Senpage”, which in Esperanto means “for free”, and that’s always good news.
\nI am Italian, but I have been living in UK for the last three years or so.
\nThanks to Jeremy who gave me this opportunity, I am starting today a new blog, and I’ll write each and every post both in English and in Esperanto.<\/p>\n

I am doing this because I believe the last thing you want to see when you’re back home after school \/ work \/ weed dealing, or whatever you do to earn a living, is another bloody dull guy from – dunno – People’s Republic of South Pole, talking about Esperanto grammar.<\/p>\n

There are only 16 (it’s no typo: I really wrote sixteen) basic grammar rules in Esperanto and they are way too many for me: I did not learn Esperanto like that.<\/p>\n

To me, there are only two reasons why one should learn a foreign language, no matter how easy it is, and it’s because one needs it or because one likes it.
\nPeriod.<\/p>\n

Let me get this straight: unless you’re keen to get a job as a special translator for the United Nations, you can get practically any job in the world without knowing any Esperanto at all.
\nDespite what all Esperanto organisations around the world say, reason number one definitively does not apply to Esperanto.<\/p>\n

I would surely go for the second reason, instead.<\/p>\n

Does Esperanto sound good? Yes, it does. Very.<\/p>\n

But then, many could say: well, even your Italian, or Spanish, or Portuguese, or French sound good.
\nAt least, these are “real” languages.
\nWhy should one go for a “fake” language very few people speak?<\/p>\n

Well, nothing to say against Italian, Spanish, etc. They are all great languages and they are all worth studying.<\/p>\n

But they all lack something unique Esperanto has, instead: all these “natural” languages are some people’s mother tongue.
\nThey belong to a people (or to many).
\nTherefore, these languages are not “neutral”.
\nThey do not allow you and the other side to discuss on a peer to peer level.<\/p>\n

Those who don’t believe me should simply try to approach – say – a French girl in French and they’ll clearly see my point.<\/p>\n

This is the reason for an “artificial” language: it’s no man’s land, it’s like a kingdom where no one is king and so all knights and maidens are invited to party.
\nSo, do yourselves a favour: leave the dull guy in the South Pole and join the party.<\/p>\n

Mi faros \u0109i tion \u0109ar mi kredas, ke la lastan aferon vi volas vedi, kiam vi revenas hejmen post la lernejo, a\u016d post la laborejo, a\u016d post la herbdebitadejo, a\u016d kion ajn vi faras por gajni en via vivo, estas alia a\u0109a teda ulo, venante de – ekzemple – Popola Respubliko de Suda Poluso, kiu parolas pri la esperanta gramatiko.<\/p>\n

Estas nur 16 bazaj gramatikaj reguloj (\u0109i tiu ne estas preseraro: mi vere skribis “dek ses”) en la esperantlingvo, kaj ili jam estas troaj por mi: mi ne lernis la esperantan \u0109i tiel.<\/p>\n

La\u016d mi, estas nur du kialoj por kiuj oni devus lerni fremdan lingvon, flankelasante \u011dian facilecon, kaj ili estas: \u0109ar oni bezonas \u011din a\u016d \u0109ar oni \u015datas \u011din.

Bonvolu lasi min klare diri tion: krom se vi sopiras al laboro kiel speciala tradukisto \u0109e la Unui\u011dintaj Nacioj, vi povas akiri praktike ian ajn laboron sen tute parolante la esperantlingvon.<\/p>\n

Malgra\u016d tio, kion \u0109iuj esperantaj asocioj en la tuta mondo diradas, la kialo numero unu certe ne povas apliki\u011di al la esperantlingvo.<\/p>\n

Male, mi certe orienti\u011dus al la dua.

\nJes, ja. Tre bone.<\/p>\n

Tamen, multaj povus diri: bone, sed anka\u016d via itallingvo, a\u016d la hispana, a\u016d la portugala, a\u016d la franca bone sonas.
\nAlmena\u016d, \u0109i tiuj estas “veraj” lingvoj.
\nKial oni devus studi “falsan” lingvon, kiun tre malmultaj parolas?<\/p>\n

Bone, mi havas nenion kontra\u016d la itala, la hispana, ktp.
\nIli \u0109iuj estas belajn lingvojn kaj ili \u0109iuj indas studadon.
\nSed \u0109iuj tiaj linvoj mankas ion unikan, kion la esperanta male havas: \u0109iuj tiaj “naturaj” lingvoj estas la patrina lingvo de iu popolo.
\nIli apartenas al iu popolo (a\u016d al kelkaj popoloj).
\nSekve, \u0109i tiuj lingvoj ne estas “ne\u016dtrala”.
\nIli ne ebligas al vi kaj al via interparolanto samnivelan diskuton.
\nTiuj, kiuj ne kredas min, devus simple provi alproksimi\u011di – ekzemple – francan knabinon franclingve, kaj ili frue komprenos tion, kion mi intencas diri.<\/p>\n

Tiu \u0109i estas la kialo por “artefarita” lingvo: \u011di estas nenies lando, \u011di estas kvaza\u016d re\u011dlando en kiu neniu estas la re\u011do kaj, sekve, \u0109iuj kavaliroj kaj junulinoj estas invititaj por festi.<\/p>\n

Do, faru al vi mem komplezon: lasi la tedan ulon en la Suda Poluso kaj ali\u011du al la festo.<\/p>\n
