F\u00e1bio Montejro at NASK<\/p><\/div>\n

Today I’m with F\u00e1bio Monteiro, the Brazilian who made the cool videos about NASK<\/a>! What is NASK you say? It stands for the Nordamerika Somera Kursaro where people interested in learning Esperanto get together to improve their Esperanto at an American university! A few years ago, I interviewed Ellen Eddy<\/a> about their new format. This year, I want to interview a few of last year’s participants to get a different perspective on the event.<\/p>\n

So, F\u00e1bio, why did you decide to attend NASK?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pasintjare mi simple decidis lasi \u0109ion en Brazilo kaj voja\u011di dum kelkaj monatoj. Mia itinero konsistis el Usono, Meksiko kaj Kubo. Pro tio ke mi estas Esperantisto nature mi profitis la okazon por partopreni je kelkaj E-eventoj. Tiel mi elektis NASK-on kiel unua voja\u011d-celo, \u0109ar mi ja multe a\u016ddadis pri la kvalito kaj valoro de la kurso, krome la dato kaj la loko perfekte enmeti\u011dis en mia itinero.<\/em><\/p>\n

Last year I just decided to leave everything in Brazil and travel for a few months. My itinerary consisted of the USA, Mexico and Cuba. Because I’m an Esperanto speaker, of course I took advantage of the opportunity to participate in some Esperanto events. That’s how I chose NASK as my first destination, because I did indeed hear a lot about the quality and value of the course. The date and location perfectly fit into my travel itinenary.<\/p>\n

What did you learn there? What course did you take?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mi partoprenis en la supera kurso gvidita de la \u0109iliano Jos\u00e9 Antonio Vergara<\/a>. Fakte en tiu nivelo ni ne multe lernis pri la lingvo mem, \u0109ar tio supozeble ne estas plu bezonata, anstata\u016de ni pli diskutis pri la historio, evoluo kaj nuntempa situacio de la Esperanta movado. Mi tre profitis la debatojn!<\/em><\/p>\n

I participated in the advanced course led by the Chilean, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Vergara<\/a>. In fact, in that level we don’t learn much about the language itself, because that isn’t really needed anymore, but instead we talk about the history, evolution and current situation of the Esperanto movement. I really profited from the debates! <\/p>\n

How did you end up making the video there?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unu el la celoj de mia voja\u011do estis filme kaj fote registri \u0109ion kio estis interesa por posta muntado de raporta\u0135oj. Tial krom la lecionoj mi anka\u016d okupi\u011dis pri filmado kaj intervjuoj. La filmetoj pri NASK estas nur la unuaj rezultoj de tiu voja\u011do. Tamen mia malmola disko esta plenplena da filmoj en Esperanto kiu devos aperi en la venontaj monatoj.<\/em><\/p>\n

One of the goals of my trip was to film and take pictures of everything interesting to later edit it into video reports. So, besides the lessons, that’s why I was also busy with filming and interviews. The short films about NASK are only the first results of my travels. However, my hard drive is packed with Esperanto films, which should appear in the coming months.<\/p>\n
