\nPatrcia semble \u00eatre beaucoup plus heureuse depuis qu’elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 sortir avec Michel<\/strong>.<\/em> [Patricia look much happier after she started dating\/seeing Michel.]<\/p>\n

Avoir rendez-vous avec<\/strong> = to have a date with
\nSophie se maquille et met toujours ses meilleurs v\u00eatements chaque fois qu’elle a rendez-vous avec<\/strong> un nouveau copain. <\/em>[Sophie puts on make-up and always wears her best clothes every time she has a date with a new guy.]<\/p>\n

\u00catre amoureux de quelqu’un<\/strong> = to be in love with someone
\nLes personnes n’ont pas l’habitude de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir quand elles sont amoureuses<\/strong>.<\/em> [People don’t usually think straight when they’re in love.]<\/p>\n

Tomber amoureux de quelqu’un<\/strong> = to fall in love with someone
\nUn coup de foudre<\/strong> = love at first sight
\nRen\u00e9 est tout de suite tomb\u00e9 amoureux de<\/strong> C\u00e9line. Pour lui, c’\u00e9tait un coup de foudre<\/strong>.<\/em> [Ren\u00e9 fell madly in love with C\u00e9line. For him, it was love at first sight.]<\/p>\n

Amour aveugle<\/strong> = blind love
\nQuand les personnes sont amoureuses, ils ne voient que le bon c\u00f4t\u00e9 de leurs compagnons. Exactement comme dans le proverbe: l’amour est aveugle<\/strong>!<\/em> [When people are in love they only see the good side of their partners. Just like in the proverb: love is blind!]<\/p>\n

Rompre avec quelqu’un<\/strong> = to break up with someone
\nOn \u00e9tait bien surpris o\u00f9 Cathie nous a dit qu’elle avait rompu avec<\/strong> Beno\u00eet.<\/em> [We were really shocked when Cathie told us she had broken up with David.]<\/p>\n

Faire la paix, se r\u00e9concilier <\/strong>= to make up, to get back together
\nJ’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 bien content de savoir qu Beno\u00eet et Cathie ont fait la paix<\/strong> apr\u00e8s deux mois de rupture. <\/em>[I was really glad to know that Beno\u00eet and Cathie got back together after being apart for two months.]<\/p>\n
