Love is a many splendored thing, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So today let&#8217;s learn some vocabulary related to love, dating and (yes!) breaking up! <em>T&#8217;est pr\u00eat?<\/em> (Are you ready?)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sortir (avec quelqu&#8217;un)<\/strong> = to be seeing someone, to date someone<br \/>\n<em>Patrcia semble \u00eatre beaucoup plus heureuse depuis qu&#8217;elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 <strong>sortir avec Michel<\/strong>.<\/em> [Patricia look much happier after she started dating\/seeing Michel.]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Avoir rendez-vous avec<\/strong> = to have a date with<br \/>\n<em>Sophie se maquille et met toujours ses meilleurs v\u00eatements chaque fois qu&#8217;elle <strong>a rendez-vous avec<\/strong> un nouveau copain. <\/em>[Sophie puts on make-up and always wears her best clothes every time she has a date with a new guy.]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00catre amoureux de quelqu&#8217;un<\/strong> = to be in love with someone<br \/>\n<em>Les personnes n&#8217;ont pas l&#8217;habitude de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir quand elles <strong>sont amoureuses<\/strong>.<\/em> [People don&#8217;t usually think straight when they&#8217;re in love.]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tomber amoureux de quelqu&#8217;un<\/strong> = to fall in love with someone<br \/>\n<strong>Un coup de foudre<\/strong> = love at first sight<br \/>\n<em>Ren\u00e9 est tout de suite <strong>tomb\u00e9 amoureux de<\/strong> C\u00e9line. Pour lui, c&#8217;\u00e9tait <strong>un coup de foudre<\/strong>.<\/em> [Ren\u00e9 fell madly in love with C\u00e9line. For him, it was love at first sight.]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Amour aveugle<\/strong> = blind love<br \/>\n<em>Quand les personnes sont amoureuses, ils ne voient que le bon c\u00f4t\u00e9 de leurs compagnons. Exactement comme dans le proverbe: l&#8217;<strong>amour est aveugle<\/strong>!<\/em> [When people are in love they only see the good side of their partners.
