Despite the unbelievably heavy\u00a0pluies<\/em> (rains) that flooded the stadium at first, La France<\/em> has put on a great show and won\u00a02-0 against l’Ukraine<\/em>, the co-host of the Euro 2012!<\/p>\n

We hope les Bleus <\/em>will achieve another great performance in two days against la Su\u00e8de.<\/em><\/p>\n

Yes, his name does sound a bit like\u00a0Debussy.<\/strong>\u00a0But unlike the French composer whose birthplace happens to be right outside of\u00a0Paris<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Mathieu<\/strong>\u00a0was born in le<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Nord-Pas-de-Calais<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0region, not far from the borders with\u00a0la Belgique<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. He has been playing for\u00a0Lille\u00a0<\/strong>(the capital of his native region) since more than 8 years now. His first goal with\u00a0l’\u00e9quipe de France\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>was scored against\u00a0Iceland<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
