“I comme…” <\/em>(“I as in…”):<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

* Illico Presto:
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/em>Or sometimes just “illico.<\/em>” This expression is used when you want something done right away<\/span>, at once!!!\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Imagine for a second that\u00a0you took a flight on Air France <\/em><\/strong>to Paris, and somehow they -by mistake, of course-\u00a0sent your bagages <\/em>(luggage) to Beijing, Sydney, or some other exotic\u00a0destination,\u00a0then you may scream at them something like: “Je veux mes affaires, illico presto !”
\n<\/em>Another way of saying “illico presto<\/em>” is “et que \u00e7<\/em>a saute !<\/strong><\/em>” (“and make it snappy!”)<\/p>\n

\n* * *<\/p>\n

* Impeccable\/Impec’:<\/em><\/strong>
\n<\/span>Of course, it’s more of a\u00a0colloquial way to say “impec<\/strong>‘<\/em>“, meaning “awesome”, “perfect.”<\/p>\n

Coming in a conversation:<\/p>\n

– “H\u00e9, \u00e7a<\/em> va? La forme aujourd’hui\u00a0ou quoi?<\/em>” (“Hey, how’s it going? Feeling good today or what?”)<\/p>\n

– “Ah oui, impec’<\/strong> mec !<\/em>” (“Oh yeah, awesome dude!”)<\/p>\n

* Incrusteur\/s’Incruster:<\/span><\/em><\/strong>
\nThink “Wedding Crashers” (the title of that movie in French\u00a0is by the way “Serial Noceurs<\/span><\/strong><\/em>.”)<\/p>\n

S’incruster<\/strong> <\/em>[quelque part<\/em>] means to “crash” something,\u00a0like a party (to be a “party crasher” therefore), or even un mariage <\/em>(a wedding)…
\nIn general,\u00a0“un incrusteur”<\/em><\/strong> has a meaning of someone who’s always “tagging along”, following you and your\u00a0friends without being invited,\u00a0until the very\u00a0last minute, when you ultimately\u00a0have no other choice but\u00a0to tell them that they really\u00a0have to leave! (And “illico presto”!)<\/p>\n

Another common\u00a0French\u00a0colloquial way of calling such people is “pot de colle<\/em><\/strong>“, meaning a “cling-on”, or a “tag-along”!
\n<\/strong>
\nExample: “L\u00e2che-moi un peu!\u00a0Je ne peux plus me blairer ce pot de colle\u00a0!” <\/strong><\/em>(Something like “Give me a break! I can’t stand this cling-on anymore!”)<\/p>\n
