into Chaos After Kangaroos Escape!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This is no <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/like-coffee-i-like-my-humour-noir-garcon-french-dark-sense-of-humor-sil-vous-plait\/\">joke<\/a>\u00a0<em>mes amis<\/em>: The story is definitely TRUE and worth telling&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Three years ago, a French group of <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/top-50-french-names-of-cute-young-animals\/\">animal<\/a> lovers (called something like the &#8220;C.L.I.K.&#8221;, or the &#8220;Coalition for the Liberation of Imprisoned Kangaroos&#8221;, probably not classified by NATO as a terrorist organization, just yet) has set loose some fifteen kangaroos in the South of France!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/hostednews\/afp\/article\/ALeqM5gaIxIu8TGfgXk5KzYRonD6IMmTSQ\">l&#8217;Agence France Presse<\/a><\/em>, a state of sheer panic ensued in the otherwise quiet city of Carcassonne, and a major operation was launched to bring the runaway marsupials back in the safe custody of the Aussie theme park.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The lady owner of the escaped animals said there was no need to be (pardon our pun) &#8220;too jumpy&#8221; about the whole thing, since kangaroos were &#8220;by nature not aggressive or nervous&#8221;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">But she probably would not have (pardon this other\u00a0pun) &#8220;jumped&#8221; too quick to that conclusion, had she encountered this other fearsome breed of French Kangaroos, locally known as the &#8220;R\u00e9mi Gaillard&#8221; type (well, check the video below!)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"KANGAROO (REMI GAILLARD)\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/81szj1vpEu8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/meet-ze-craziest-french-prankster-on-ze-planet\/\">R\u00e9mi Gaillard<\/a>:\u00a0Another crazy French Kangaroo on the loose, causing major chaos in the southwestern city of Montpelier!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The video, curiously posted only six months prior to the kangaroos &#8220;Great Escape&#8221;, has so far been viewed by almost 44 million people (trivia: that&#8217;s roughly the same number of jobless people in the OECD countries)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rNCodTbRJ4Y\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rNCodTbRJ4Y<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">And you thought that R\u00e9mi was the inventor of the &#8220;Kangaroo-Kick-in-the-Water&#8221; technique?\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">To be sure, the facility where the 15 kangaroos were &#8220;liberated&#8221; from does not exactly look like a made-for-kangaroos Alcatraz or Guantanamo Bay (although the animal activists would probably beg to differ on this point.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In fact, &#8220;<em><a title=\"Le Parc Australien\" href=\"http:\/\/leparcaustralien.free.fr\/index2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">le Parc Australien<\/a><\/em>&#8221; is a pretty nice and fun place that you should definitely consider checking out, in case you find yourself one day touristically trapped in the beautiful city of Carcassonne, and (you too) would wish (like, say, the kangaroos) to escape town, to see beyond its famous medieval walls and fortress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.travelandleisure.com\/travel-blog\/carry-on\/2009\/4\/3\/kangaroos-run-rampant-in-france\">Travel and Leisure<\/a>, &#8220;Just like in real Australia, you can watch kangaroos do what kangaroos do, pan for <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/the-french-golden-lines\/\">gold<\/a>, pet a wallaby, throw a boomerang&#8221;, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Judge for yourselves, <em>les amis<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Le Parc Australien, Carcassonne\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t0mTB58ezV8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
