See &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/lost-in-textossms-translation\/\"><strong><em>Lost in (Textos<\/em>\/SMS) <em>Translation<\/em>?<\/strong><\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Today, we&#8217;re going to go\u00a0<em>encore<\/em> <em>plus loin<\/em> (even further), and show you the abbreviations <strong>commonly used in France and <em>le monde francophone<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0which you&#8217;re very likely to\u00a0enounter\u00a0during the course of a\u00a0normal conversation,\u00a0or when you&#8217;re\u00a0reading a\u00a0French <em>journal <\/em>(newspaper), magazine, or when\u00a0watching a French\u00a0movie, for example.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>premiere partie <\/em>(first part) will cover the letters <strong>A<\/strong> and <strong>B<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>* <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ADN:<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>French people don&#8217;t say DNA, but rather ADN (<em><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A<\/span><\/strong>cide <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">D<\/span><\/strong>\u00e9soxyribo-<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">N<\/span><\/strong>ucl\u00e9ique<\/em>.)
