(&#8220;The Fabulous Destiny of Amelie Poulain.&#8221;)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u00a0may have also seen him in\u00a0<em>&#8220;<strong>Indig\u00e8nes<\/strong>&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>(translated as &#8220;<strong>Days of Glory<\/strong>&#8221; in English)<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0by <strong>French-Algerian<\/strong> movie director<strong>\u00a0Rachid Bouchareb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>His name is\u00a0<strong>Jamel Debbouze. <\/strong>He made\u00a0a comeback in the sequel to\u00a0<strong><em>&#8220;Indig\u00e8nes<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong>, directed by the same Bouchareb.<\/p>\n<p>The movie is called\u00a0<em>&#8220;<strong>Hors-la-Loi<\/strong><\/em>&#8221; in French, and &#8220;<strong>Outside the Law<\/strong>&#8221; in English.<\/p>\n<p>It made its debut in French movie theaters\u00a0exactly two years ago, <em><strong>jour pour jour <\/strong><\/em>(day for day), on\u00a0<strong>September 22nd, 2010<\/strong>.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the\u00a0the first movie,\u00a0<em>&#8220;<strong>Indig\u00e8nes<\/strong>&#8220;,<\/em>\u00a0we follow the story of\u00a0<strong>Algerian<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Moroccan<\/strong>\u00a0soldiers enrolled in the French army during the Second World War.<\/p>\n<p>Despite having their home countries living under extremely harsh\u00a0<strong>French occupation<\/strong>, they nevertheless join the fight\u00a0to help deliver\u00a0<strong>France<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0clutches of\u00a0<strong>Nazi Germany.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upon its release, back in\u00a0<strong>2006, &#8220;<em><strong>Indig\u00e8nes<\/strong><\/em>&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>did not trigger any major\u00a0<strong><em>pol\u00e9mique<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(controversy)&#8212;<em><strong>bien au contraire<\/strong><\/em> (quite on the contrary.)<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>2010<\/strong>\u00a0sequel\u00a0<strong><em>&#8220;Hors-la-loi<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;, however, managed to\u00a0provoke the rather unlikely scene of\u00a0heated demonstrations\u00a0held at the very\u00a0doorsteps of\u00a0the\u00a0<em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/and-the-grands-gagnants-big-winners-of-the-2011-cannes-festival-are\/\">Festival de Cannes<\/a><\/strong><\/em>!<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, the organizers of the most famous movie festival in the world,\u00a0whose budget -we were told- was still reeling from\u00a0<strong><em>la crise financi\u00e8re\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(the financial crisis), had very little to complain about the\u00a0unexpected glare of\u00a0<strong><em>publicit\u00e9<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Hors la loi de Rachid Boucharef Bande annonce\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mi4FnkJ0wOI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
