The best pre-holiday tradition,\u00a0au moins en France\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(at least in France), is\u00a0les march\u00e9s de No\u00ebl<\/em><\/strong>: Christmas markets!<\/p>\n

Although neither I nor mon<\/strong><\/em> amie\u00a0<\/em>Jennie <\/strong>particularly celebrate it, <\/em>here is what she said about her own Christmas holiday experience in France, a few years ago already:<\/em><\/p>\n

Les march\u00e9s de No\u00ebl\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>are found throughout France (and the rest of the world), but\u00a0le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(the most famous) is in\u00a0Strasbourg<\/strong>, in\u00a0northeastern France.<\/p>\n

Le march\u00e9 de Strasbourg, comme tous les march\u00e9s, offre des saveurs r\u00e9gionales\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(local flavors),\u00a0ainsi que des cadeaux\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(as well as gifts).\u00a0L\u2019une de ces saveurs typiques est\u2026\u00a0le vin chaud!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
