I remember hearing my teacher say \u201c<em>dansequ\u00e2<\/em>\u201d and understanding it <strong>dans son contexte<\/strong> (in context) as meaning something like \u201cbecause\u201d or \u201ctaking that into consideration\u201d, but I had never seen the word written down.<\/p>\n<p>Try as I might I could not figure out just how you should write it, and my teacher <strong>ne pouvait pas comprendre<\/strong> (could not understand) what I was talking about either. I knew the word existed though, <strong>j\u2019\u00e9tais s\u00fbr<\/strong> (I was sure) I had heard it and <strong>j&#8217;\u00e9tais s\u00fbr<\/strong> that the French used it!<\/p>\n<p>Then one day as I was reading through my French lesson for the day, I came across <strong>quelque chose<\/strong> (something) that seemed very familiar. I was finally seeing the <strong>mot bizarre<\/strong>!
