Je viens d\u2019arriver aux USA<\/strong> (I just arrived in the USA) and after le long vol<\/strong> (the long flight) from France, with une escale courte<\/strong> (a short layover) in Spain, all I wanted to do was sleep. I’m back to my home state<\/a> for the first time in a very long time.<\/p>\n

Before I got on l’avion<\/strong> (the airplane), I had to find my way to l’a\u00e9roport<\/strong> and pay le prix du billet<\/strong> (the fare). Une fois dans l’avion<\/strong> (once I was on the plane), I sat in une place c\u00f4t\u00e9 couloir<\/strong> (an aisle seat) so I could get up and walk around as much as I wanted, and besides une place c\u00f4t\u00e9 hublot<\/strong> (a window seat) isn\u2019t worth very much on un vol de nuit<\/strong> (a red eye flight).<\/p>\n

Even if it wasn\u2019t un vol de nuit<\/strong>, there\u2019s not much to see au dessus de l\u2019oc\u00e9an Atlantique<\/strong> (over the Atlantic Ocean). I only had une correspondance<\/strong> (one connection) to make, and l\u2019escale<\/strong> wasn\u2019t too longue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Une fois \u00e0 la maison<\/strong> (once I was home), I went straight to bed, but because of le d\u00e9calage horaire<\/strong> (time difference) I ended up waking up much earlier than I would have liked! La fatique \u00e0 cause du d\u00e9calage horaire<\/strong> (jetlag) is tough to get over when you move between oceans.<\/p>\n
