Whether you&#8217;re a cat person or a dog person, it&#8217;s not fair to exclude the dogs of their own post \ud83d\ude09 So, for all my fellow dog lovers, let&#8217;s get started!<\/p>\n<p>As I was doing a braindrain on expressions with dog I knew in French, I realized just how many we have in English. Think about it &#8211; top dog, can&#8217;t teach an old dog new tricks, a barking dog never bites, dog-eat-dog world, dog days of summer, the hair of the dog&#8230; The list goes on and on.<\/p>\n<p>French also has many uses for <strong>le chien<\/strong> &#8211; there are so many <strong>expressions idiomatiques<\/strong> and <strong>proverbes<\/strong>. Maybe it&#8217;s because dogs are considered man&#8217;s best friend*. Maybe it&#8217;s easier to compare a dog&#8217;s behavior to our own.
