After spending time in la Floride<\/strong> over the holidays, I had an interesting wardrobe problem when I flew back to France<\/a>. I had to make sure I had access to mes v\u00eatements d\u2019hiver<\/strong> (my winter clothes) or I would freeze \u00e0 Paris<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

My relationship with le froid<\/strong> (the cold) started when I first moved to France. I was not used to le froid<\/strong> and I struggled with heating my apartment<\/a>. I didn\u2019t even have any v\u00eatements d\u2019hiver<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Before l\u2019hiver<\/strong> arrived, I had to figure out where to buy<\/a> un anorak, une \u00e9charpe, des pulls et des chaussettes \u00e9paisses<\/strong> (a winter jacket, a scarf, sweaters, and thick socks). There are a lot of layers to put on during the colder months of the year!<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9fi<\/strong> (the challenge) for me was not being familiar with les v\u00eatements d’hiver<\/strong>. Apr\u00e8s un peu de recherche<\/strong> (after some research) I bought what I thought would be good enough to get me through l’hiver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Malheuresement<\/strong> (unfortunately), la Floride<\/strong> did not prepare me for the cold. My first winter in France was way colder than I expected. Heruesement<\/strong> (fortunately), I learned from my mistake<\/a> and bought warmer clothes!<\/p>\n

After the holidays, when I\u00a0 flew back to Paris<\/a>, I had another weather related wardrobe problem. It was too hot en<\/a> Floride<\/strong> to wear les v\u00eatements d\u2019hiver<\/strong> and it was too cold \u00e0 Paris<\/strong> to not wear les v\u00eatements d\u2019hiver !<\/strong><\/p>\n

I ended up changing in l’a\u00e9roport<\/strong><\/a> as soon as l\u2019avion a atterri<\/strong> (the plane landed) and was able to deal with the worst of le froid<\/strong> without any problem.<\/p>\n

Luckily the cold months are almost over and\u00a0 it will soon be time to start opening windows<\/a>!<\/p>\n
