Licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 2.0.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A trip to <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/going-to-lepicerie-groceries-in-french\/\"><strong>l\u2019\u00e9pic\u00e9rie<\/strong><\/a> (the grocery store) or <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/how-to-find-a-hardware-store-in-french\/\"><strong>le magasin de bricolage<\/strong><\/a> (the hardware store) always ends in a good vocabulary lesson, but sometimes I need to be more practical about my shopping.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t have <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/buses-and-cars-travelling-in-france\/\"><strong>une voiture<\/strong><\/a> (a car) and it would be impractical to take <strong>un lit<\/strong> on <strong>le m\u00e9tro<\/strong> or <strong>le bus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why when it came time to buy <strong>les meubles<\/strong> (furniture) for <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/managing-le-demenagement-moving-in-french\/\"><strong>le nouvel apartment<\/strong><\/a> (the new apartment), I decided to do my shopping <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/bouletcrop-french-comics-en-ligne\/\"><strong>en ligne<\/strong><\/a> (online). <strong>La livraison<\/strong> (the delivery) is easy and I can take more time to look through all the options.<\/p>\n<p>Navigating through <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/the-computer-magasin-getting-technical\/\">un site web<\/a> fran\u00e7ais<\/strong> can be a challenge too if you\u2019re unfamiliar with <strong>le vocabulaire <\/strong>(the vocabulary). <strong>Cependant<\/strong> (however), outside of <strong>les mots inconnus<\/strong> (the unknown words), the general design of <strong>les sites web<\/strong> is the same of those in English, which makes everything easier if you have ever bought something online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Il suffit de<\/strong> (all you need to do is) add what you want to <strong>le panier<\/strong> (the shopping cart). If you make <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/more-mistakes-thinking-in-english\/\"><strong>une faute<\/strong><\/a> (a mistake) it&#8217;s easy to <strong>cliquer<\/strong> (click) on the icon for <strong>le panier<\/strong> and <strong>supprimer<\/strong> (delete) anything you do not want.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have everything you want in <strong>le panier<\/strong>, <strong>il suffit de<\/strong> pay for everything. <strong>Le paiment<\/strong> (paying) is generally easy to do. After you&#8217;ve put in the information for <strong>votre carte bleue<\/strong> (your credit card), your order is ready!<\/p>\n<p>You can double check<strong> votre commande<\/strong> (your order) before making <strong>le paiement<\/strong> to see exactly how much everything will cost, including <strong>la livraison<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Et voil\u00e0 !
