Public Domain.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>La Seine<\/strong> is no stranger to <strong>la crue<\/strong> (flooding) and has seen many impressive storms in its history, but <strong>les inondations<\/strong> still took Parisians by surprise. For many people trying to make their way through <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/are-the-olympics-coming-to-paris\/\"><strong>la Ville Lumi\u00e8re<\/strong><\/a> (the City of Light) it was strange to see their usually route flooded!<\/p>\n<p>One way to see what <strong>les Parisiens<\/strong> thought of <strong>les inondations<\/strong> is to hop on <strong>les r\u00e9seaux sociaux<\/strong> (social media). Many <strong>Parisiens<\/strong> were quick to make jokes about <strong>le temps<\/strong> (the weather) and <strong>le hashtag<\/strong> <em><strong>#orage<\/strong> (#storm)<\/em> took over Twitter as people all over Paris reacted to <strong>les inondations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/french-knock-knock-jokes\/\"><strong>Les blagues<\/strong><\/a> (jokes) people were making are not only funny, they&#8217;re also a fun way to learn <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/french\/athletic-vocabulary-olympic-sports-in-french\/\">new vocabulary<\/a>! However, when you&#8217;re on <strong>les r\u00e9seaux sociaux<\/strong> it can sometimes be hard to understand everything.
