Un orage<\/strong><\/a> (a thunderstorm) passed through Paris recently and caused quite a stir. All the rain from l’orage<\/strong> created des inondations<\/strong> (floods) all over Paris, but for many people it was most notable sur le m\u00e9tro<\/strong> (on the subway)!<\/p>\n

La Seine<\/strong> is no stranger to la crue<\/strong> (flooding) and has seen many impressive storms in its history, but les inondations<\/strong> still took Parisians by surprise. For many people trying to make their way through la Ville Lumi\u00e8re<\/strong><\/a> (the City of Light) it was strange to see their usually route flooded!<\/p>\n

One way to see what les Parisiens<\/strong> thought of les inondations<\/strong> is to hop on les r\u00e9seaux sociaux<\/strong> (social media). Many Parisiens<\/strong> were quick to make jokes about le temps<\/strong> (the weather) and le hashtag<\/strong> #orage<\/strong> (#storm)<\/em> took over Twitter as people all over Paris reacted to les inondations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Les blagues<\/strong><\/a> (jokes) people were making are not only funny, they’re also a fun way to learn new vocabulary<\/a>! However, when you’re on les r\u00e9seaux sociaux<\/strong> it can sometimes be hard to understand everything.
