It’s a catchy song- there’s no denying this. Florentin Cabezon, Yoann Pinna, and J\u00e9r\u00f4me Achermann, known professionally as Arcadian, are internet cover artists turned The Voice<\/em> contestants whose sound is both familiar but fun.<\/p>\n

The trio lived together in Paris and could often be found playing covers outside the metro lines, bars, and the Social Square in Paris 3. One evening while rehearsing for a concert, a team from the national French TV channel TF1 approached the group and encouraged them to audition for season 5 of The Voice<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The audition turned out well for them. Their cover of “Carmen” by Stromae (check out this article<\/a> for a fun activity with this song) was enough to convince both Mika and Florent Pagny to turn their chairs around, and the group ultimately chose Mika as their coach.<\/p>\n

During the show, the young men would sing covers by A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, Ma\u00eetre Gims, Fun & Janelle Monae, and Joseph Salvat before being voted off during the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

As we’ve seen over and over from these talent shows, you don’t need to come in first place to be successful (hello, Jennifer Hudson, anyone?). Despite not winning, the trio was signed to Mercury France and has since released an EP and a debut album.<\/p>\n

Their second single, “Mon combat,” was released in April, but I only recently heard it. It’s a very catch piece, so I decided to share it with you!<\/p>\n
