They will compete in <strong>onze<\/strong> <strong>\u00e9preuves*<\/strong> (<em>11 events<\/em>). There are no French teams for curling, <strong>hockey sur glace, <\/strong>luge, or skeleton.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Et pour finir<\/strong> \/ <em>Finally<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Il fait tr\u00e8s froid \u00e0 PeyongChang!<\/strong> \/ <em>It is very cold in PeyongChang.<\/em> So cold in fact that they&#8217;ve had to delay some of the events. Recently I came across a new word in French for something to keep your hands warm: <strong>mitaines. <\/strong>I was familiar with <strong>gants<\/strong> (<em>gloves)<\/em> and <strong>moufles<\/strong> (<em>mitten)<\/em> but <em><strong>mitaines<\/strong><\/em> was new to me.
