Before becoming a writer, Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry had a very different professional life. A new song from the French\u00a0chanteur<\/strong> (singer<\/em>) Calogero, celebrates that previous career as well as some of Saint-Exup\u00e9ry’s most famous works.<\/p>\n

While he may be best known outside France for his charming novella\u00a0Le petit prince<\/em> (The little prince), Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry wrote many other works and even had an entirely different professional life before becoming an author. For many years, Saint-Exup\u00e9ry worked as a pilot and as an administrator during the early days of airmail service. His novel\u00a0Vol de nuit<\/strong> (<\/a>Night flight) <\/em>was inspired by that experience . . . and this song in turn is inspired by that (and just a bit by\u00a0Le petit prince<\/em>).<\/p>\n
